Some of Leonardo’s sketches referred to a corkscrew. In the 1499 Leonardo received a vineyard in Milan from one of his patrons Ludovico the Moor. Great expert of wine-growing and wine lover, Leonardo designed the first corkscrew prototype; since he was left-handed, the sketch shows how that tool was easy to use with the left hand also.
